Right Angle Weave (part two)

The right angle weave square has grown fat! Instead of being a rather sad looking flat piece of weaving (which you can just see at the bottom of the stack), it's now a chunky little brick that rather reminds me of the stickle-bricks I used to play with as a child. Not sure if it's supposed to, but it's got one heck of a curve to it which I really like.
My version is a bit different to that of Marcia DeCoster's, but suffice to say I'm well chuffed with it and can finally see the possibilities of the RAW.
There are some of Marcia's other designs that I fancy and now feel able to give them a go.

  1. That's really cool! I love the bright colours you used! I find RAW a bight of a pain when I'm using seed beads, can never seem to get the tension quite right, love using it with bigger beads though

  2. This is very pretty and wouldn't have thought myself to put those colours together but it's really nice! What are you going to use it for? I keep practising little bits of different stitches but then never know what piece of jewellery to turn them into after! It's very chunky though and as you say a good curve on it, and I like that too! Well done and thanks for sharing, Jo x

  3. I'm trying to break the mould a bit and use brighter contrasting colours - not sure what I'm going to do with the RAW brick though! I was going to make several more to complete the bracelet, but a UFO (unfinished object) has caught my attention again of late and I'm now hooked on that! It's all good experience, even doing small "samplers" like this.
